JFK International Airport provides access to both long-term parking as well as short-term Central Terminal Area (CTA) parking, ideal for pick ups and drop offs.

Short-term Parking

Central Terminal Area (CTA) parking is colour-coded, as discussed elsewhere in the site, with the parking areas situated next to the relevant terminals. Terminals 4, 5, and 6 are always busy, so parking in these designated locations is often limited. It can often be easier to park in the blue area, which is designated for Terminal 4. There are fewer travellers using this facility and there is also a regular shuttle service that will take travellers to the correct terminal building, making it a practical option.

Long-term Parking

Located around four miles from the terminal area the long-term parking facility is connected to JFK Airport itself via the Howard Beach Station AirTrain, which runs between the Central Terminal Area and parking Station A or B every six minutes during the day and every 12 minutes from 11.00 pm to 6.00 am. The trip from the parking facility to the airport terminal takes less than 10 minutes, but time should also be allowed for a short wait to get the AirTrain and also time to get to the relevant check in desk in the correct terminal.

Parking for Travellers with Disabilities

There are designated spaces in all of the short term parking areas, well located for access and best distance to the terminals. Rates are also reduced, with the long-term rates available here even for short stays.
